How does your office help a patient understand their costs for Services, payment plan options, or use of their dental insurance?
We tell them what their estimated dental benefits & Out-Of-Pocket will be, we file their Dental Insurance claims for them, and we present all Financing Plans that they can apply for through our Practice.

How do you educate your patients about the treatments they need and how to keep problems from reoccurring?
We utilize Patient Education technology (videos, animations, etc.), Our Doctors and/or Staff presents key information & demonstrations, and we present our Patients with handouts (pamphlets, etc.) for them to take home. We also strongly maintain our patients' oral health with regular hygiene visits and doctors exams. Once dental work is completed it is very important to maintain what's done and we go the extra mile to ensure our patients' are satisfied and our work lasts.

What do you do when there are multiple treatment options available for a patient's dental condition?
We present our Patients the ideal treatment plan along every possible treatment approach. We then work with them to determine the plan that best meets their individual needs.

What labs do you use for your restoration services (e.g. Crowns & Bridges) and do you provide patients with a choice of labs?
We utilize Local and U.S.-based Labs that meet our highest standards for Patient Care.

What kind of sedation & comfort techniques do you utilize?
At Dream Smile Dental, we want your visits to our office to be as pleasant as possible. Our goal is to create an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation that is so enjoyable, you'll look forward to each and every appointment you make with us. We offer various types of sedation ranging from Nitrous to Oral Conscious Sedation (sleep dentistry). Aromatherapy candles and oils fill the air with relaxing scents. For extended procedures, we provide our patients with hot/cold neck cushions for added comfort and support. Patients indulging in a BriteSmile visit are treated to a heated massage pad on the chair while they visit. You'll feel decadent!

Do you treat children and, if so, how do you help them feel comfortable?
Absolutely! Our trained pediatric dentist is wonderful at making a child's dentist appointment a fun adventure. Our new children's waiting area is a fun playroom with activities ranging from Nintendo Wii sports to educational activities.

“Every patient is different and has different needs” says Dr. Pelham. “I work to tailor to each patient and strive to ensure comfort and satisfaction. Dr. Pelham strongly believes that all patients should be well informed and all treatment should be accomplished as comfortably as possible.

Personal Background

Dr. Pelham, a Massachusetts native, was born in Boston. This Bostonian’s mother was a school teacher in nearby Stoughton, while his father worked for a Boston shipyard. Inspired by his interest and curiosity for dentistry, he went on to Tufts University and then Harvard University to receive his periodontal specialization degree. He continues to hold an honorable job as a clinical instructor at the Harvard School of Medicine, because he enjoys the satisfaction of teaching and continues to learn from the experience.

Community Involvement

Implants have revolutionized dentistry, and the three additional perio training years Dr. Pelham has spent at Harvard, have made it possible for him to place implants safely and effectively. “Implants are as close as you can get to giving someone back their original teeth”.
